5 Incredible Cornville Wineries in the Verde Valley Wine Region

The Cornville wineries in Arizona’s Verde Valley wine region offer a more peaceful, rural charm compared to the bustling tasting rooms of Cottonwood and Jerome. Nestled along scenic North Page Springs Road, this stretch of countryside is home to some of the most relaxing (and delicious) wine experiences in the state.

The Verde Valley AVA is made up of three distinct areas – Cottonwood, Jerome, and Cornville – and each has its own personality. Cornville’s wineries stand out for their tranquil settings, wide-open vineyard views, and easy proximity to one another. You can easily sip your way through them all in a single afternoon.

In this guide, we’re focusing specifically on the Cornville wineries located along Page Springs Road, with one bonus spot just a short drive away that’s absolutely worth the detour.

If you’re exploring the Verde Valley, don’t miss our other local guides: Cottonwood Wineries and Jerome Wineries.

About Verde Valley

Located in the heart of Arizona, the Verde Valley AVA spans roughly 200 square miles and is home to more than 20 wineries – including the beautiful Cornville wineries featured in this guide. The region’s mix of high elevation, volcanic soils, and sunny desert days makes it one of the most unique wine-growing areas in the Southwest.

Across the Verde Valley wine region, more than 40 grape varietals are being cultivated. Top white grapes include Malvasia Bianca, Viognier, Chardonnay, Vermentino, Seyval Blanc, and Picpoul Blanc, while standout reds include Syrah, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Tannat, and Barbera.

The diversity of grapes here is impressive – it’s one of the reasons the Verde Valley has quickly become the hub of Arizona wine country.

Verde Valley Wine Trail App

The Verde Valley Wine Trail was launched to help visitors explore the region’s many wineries and tasting rooms. If you visit 10 participating locations, you’ll be entered to win a weekend getaway for two in the area — a fun bonus if you’re already planning a wine-filled itinerary.

1. D.A. Ranch Estate Vineyards

D.A. Ranch Estate Vineyards - Cornville wineries, arizona, verde valley
D.A. Ranch Estate Vineyards, Arizona
  • Hours:
    • Wednesday – Sunday from 11 AM – 6 PM
    • Note: This is a popular wedding venue so hours may vary
  • Food Available: Yes
  • Reservations Required: No, unless group is 12+ people

If you’re searching for one of the most beautiful Cornville wineries to relax with a glass in hand, D.A Ranch should be your first stop.

Family-owned since 2002, the ranch belongs to one of Arizona’s oldest privately run agricultural families, who quickly realized the property’s fertile soil was perfect for growing wine grapes. By 2008, they were producing their first bottles from 100% estate-grown fruit — including Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Tannat, and Seyval Blanc.

Tucked just off North Page Springs Road, D.A. Ranch feels a little more secluded than some of the other Cornville wineries, giving it that true countryside escape vibe. The drive in sets the tone — a quiet gravel road winding through vineyards before opening up to a stunning log cabin-style tasting room surrounded by lush, open lawns.

The best part? You’re free to wander the property with your glass or bottle in hand. The sprawling green space is perfect for relaxing under the Arizona sun, especially when there’s live music on the weekends.

We each went for a glass of wine rather than a tasting — partly to escape the busy fall Saturday crowd, and partly to linger and enjoy the setting. The wines were great, though at $18 per glass, they were among the priciest we had not just in Cornville but across the entire Verde Valley AVA. If you’re planning to stay a while, buying a bottle to share is the better value (and you can cork what’s left to take with you).

Just note that D.A. Ranch also doubles as a high-end wedding venue, so hours can vary depending on private events. Be sure to check their calendar before you go.

Between the laid-back setting, beautiful grounds, and estate-grown wines, D.A. Ranch perfectly captures the rustic charm that makes Cornville wineries such a standout part of Arizona’s wine country.

2. Javelina Leap Estate Vineyards

Javelina Leap Estate Vineyards - Cornville wineries
  • Hours: Daily from 11AM – 6 PM
  • Food Available: Yes
  • Reservations Required: No

Just a couple minutes down the road from D.A. Ranch sits Javelina Leap Estate Vineyards, another standout among Cornville wineries and a perfect spot to sip Arizona-grown wine surrounded by peaceful desert views.

This family-owned and operated winery has a beautiful setup with several ways to enjoy your visit – from shaded outdoor tables tucked beneath mature trees to multiple tasting areas and a sunny patio that often features live music. It’s one of those places where time slips away easily.

What makes Javelina Leap special is their true vine-to-wine process. Every step – from de-stemming and fermenting to bottling and labeling – happens right on-site, creating a hands-on experience that reflects their deep dedication to Arizona winemaking.

And about that name? It’s a clever nod to both local wildlife and wine history. The javelina, a wild boar-like animal native to this area, is sometimes spotted roaming the vineyards at dusk. The word “Leap” pays homage to Stag’s Leap Winery in Napa, which famously helped put American wine on the global stage during the 1976 “Judgment of Paris.”

We shared a tasting flight and loved soaking up the sunshine from the patio, with subtle mountain views of Cornville in the distance. Between the setting, story, and craftsmanship, Javelina Leap Estate Vineyards perfectly embodies what makes the Cornville wine scene so charming – approachable wines, family roots, and an atmosphere you won’t want to leave.

3. Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery

Oak Creek Vineyards - Verde Valley, Arizona
  • Hours: 7 days a week
    • Monday – Friday: 11 AM – 6 PM
    • Saturday – Sunday: 10 AM – 6 PM
  • Food Available: Yes, cheese and veggie plates only
  • Reservations Required: No

Just a short walk – literally 476 feet – from Javelina Leap, Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery is one of the most conveniently located and welcoming Cornville wineries along Page Springs Road.

Set on an 11-acre vineyard in the shadow of House Mountain, this spot sits only about 500 feet from Oak Creek, one of the few natural, year-round water sources in Arizona. The setting alone makes it worth a visit — lush, green, and full of that peaceful Verde Valley charm.

Under new ownership since 2020, Oak Creek Vineyards continues to focus on what wine is really about: connection. Their motto is simple – wine tastes better when shared with friends and family. You’ll feel that spirit in their laid-back tasting room and casual outdoor patio, where there’s no rush and no wrong way to enjoy your pour.

They offer three flight options – white, red, and staff pick – plus wines by the glass or bottle. The staff is friendly and happy to guide you through the lineup, which features balanced, approachable wines designed to reflect the warm Arizona climate.

Because of the region’s naturally higher tannins and alcohol levels, the winemakers here focus on keeping their wines bright, smooth, and food-friendly.

As big red wine fans, we were especially drawn to their Syrah, which had a rich flavor profile and a smooth finish that paired perfectly with the sunshine and our cheese plate.

Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery is a perfect stop for those looking to slow down, sip something local, and enjoy the relaxed, rural beauty that defines Cornville’s wine country.

4. Page Spring Cellars

Page Springs Cellars - Cornville wineries, Arizona
  • Hours:
    • November – February
      • Sunday – Wednesday: 11 AM – 6 PM
      • Thursday – Saturday: 11 AM – 8 PM
    • March – October
      • Sunday – Wednesday: 11 AM – 7 PM
      • Thursday – Saturday: 11 AM – 9 PM
  • Food Available: Yes, full kitchen
  • Reservations Required: No

Just a hop, skip, and a swirl up the road from Oak Creek Vineyards, Page Springs Cellars is one of the most well-known and well-loved Cornville wineries in the Verde Valley wine region – and it’s easy to see why.

You could easily spend an entire afternoon here: tasting wine, strolling through the vineyards, taking a yoga class, and enjoying a meal at their on-site bistro overlooking the vines. It’s part winery, part retreat, and completely Arizona in the best way.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything they do. The owners believe that to make great wine, they must also care for the land that produces it. To that end, Page Springs Cellars:

  • Avoids tilling soil to reduce carbon release
  • Uses solar panels that generate 100% of their electricity
  • Has an on-site wastewater treatment and disposal system
  • Limits distribution to within Arizona to cut down on transportation impact

Most of their grapes are estate-grown right here in the Page Springs area, though they do collaborate with other Arizona vineyards for select varietals.

Vitae Spirits at Page Springs Cellars - Verde Valley

If you want to mix things up, don’t miss their Vitae Spirits line – a small-batch collection of artisanal liquors made in partnership with Page Springs founder Eric Glomski. We sampled the Vineyard Brandy and almost walked out with a bottle (okay, we might still regret not doing that).

It’s worth noting that Page Springs Cellars is also one of the busiest stops among the Cornville wineries, especially on weekends. While reservations aren’t available unless you’re a wine club member, you can book a private event if you prefer guaranteed seating.

Between the scenic views, full restaurant, live music, and commitment to sustainability, it’s no wonder Page Springs Cellars has become a cornerstone of Arizona’s wine country. Open 365 days a year, it’s always a good time to visit.

5. Cove Mesa Vineyards

Cove Mesa Vineyards - Verde Valley AVA, Arizona
Cove Mesa - Cornville winery - Arizona
  • Hours:
    • Monday – Thursday: 12 PM – 6PM
    • Friday -Sunday: 11 AM – 6 PM
  • Food Available: Yes
  • Reservations Required: No

Located just five minutes from the main cluster of Cornville wineries, Cove Mesa Vineyards is one of the newest – and most impressive – additions to the Verde Valley wine region. Despite being the new kid on the block, it’s already producing old-world-style wines that truly stand out.

Like many of the wineries nearby, Cove Mesa sources all of its grapes from Arizona vineyards, with most coming from their own estate vines in the Verde Valley and others from the Willcox area. The focus is on crafting wines that balance elegance, structure, and a strong sense of place.

You can enjoy flights, glasses, or bottles in their stylish new Cornville tasting room, which often hosts live music and offers small bites like charcuterie boards and flatbreads to pair with the wine. It’s modern yet relaxed – exactly what you want after a day of exploring the area.

Since their first vintage in 2020, the winemaking team has been expanding their portfolio, but everything we tried on our flight was fantastic – from the Sangiovese and Malbec to the Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo.

We even had the chance to chat with the owner and winemaker, who shared stories about his travels, inspiration, and deep love for Arizona wine. Those personal connections always make a tasting more memorable, and this visit was no exception.

Of all the Cornville wineries, Cove Mesa Vineyards was our favorite – and the only place we purchased a bottle to take home. It’s a must-visit stop that perfectly captures where the Verde Valley wine scene is headed: approachable, authentic, and full of heart.
