This cozy tasting room serves wine by the glass or flight, with two options to choose from: the Taste of LDV flight ($15 for four estate-grown grape varieties) or the Premium LDV Red Wines flight (around $30 for their more exclusive pours).
Their list of wines includes some Viogniers, a Rosé, and red wines including several Syrahs, Petite Sirahs, Grenaches, and blends of the three. Their actual winery is located in the Chiricahua Mountain foothills near Willcox in southeastern Arizona and all of their wines are made using estate-grown grapes.
There is a large outdoor seating area, so grab a glass and enjoy watching people stroll by in Old Town Scottsdale.
2. Salvatore Vineyards

- Hours:
- Sunday – Thursday: 11 AM – 8 PM
- Friday – Saturday: 11 AM – 10 PM
- Food Available: No
- Reservations: Not required
- Average Tasting Price: $15–$30 per flight
- Good to Know: Features reserve-level wines aged up to 4 years in barrel
Located a short walk from LDV, Salvatore Vineyards is the sophisticated big brother to Passion Cellars and Cabal Cellars, which hail from Willcox and Jerome, Arizona.
The Salvatore line features all of the winemaker’s reserve wines – aged 24 to 48 months in oak barrels and produced in extremely limited quantities (fewer than 100 cases of each). These bottles are true collector’s items, but trust us, they’re worth drinking right now.
At the Scottsdale tasting room, you can choose between two tasting flights: a Reserve Wine Flight (4 wines for $30) or the Passion Cellars Flight (5 wines for $15). Occasionally, they also pour Cabal Cellars wines from their Jerome location, so you might get to sample all three labels in one stop.
The small, relaxed tasting room has an approachable vibe, making it a great contrast to some of the larger, flashier wineries nearby. The wines here are bold, structured, and beautifully expressive – ideal for red wine lovers.
Salvatore Vineyards is within easy walking distance of the other wineries in Scottsdale, so be sure to add it to your wine trail itinerary.
This is within walking distance of all of the other wineries in Scottsdale and definitely needs to be on your list of Scottsdale wineries to visit.
3. Carlson Creek Vineyard

- Hours:
- Daily from 12 PM – 8 PM
- Food Available: Yes
- Reservations: Not required
- Average Tasting Price: $15–$25 for flights
- Good to Know: Estate-grown wines from Willcox; try the award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon
Carlson Creek Vineyard is a family-owned, estate winery that sources all of its grapes from its vineyard in Willcox, Arizona. With tasting rooms in Willcox, Old Town Cottonwood, and Old Town Scottsdale, this label is a staple on the Scottsdale Wine Trail.
The Scottsdale location has a warm, barrel-inspired interior, making you feel like you’re tasting right inside a wine cellar.
You can try a flight of five wines for $18 (you choose your lineup) or their Split Flight, which features five half-bottle wines for $15 – perfect if you’re splitting with a partner or want a little bit of everything.
Their standout pours include the Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon (awarded “Best in Class” at the AZCentral Grand Wine Competition), and the Rule of Three, their flagship blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre.
We did a side-by-side tasting of the 2014 and 2015 Sangiovese vintages, and the difference was remarkable. The 2014 was our favorite – silky, balanced, and a gold medal winner at the 2019 World Wine Championships.
Carlson Creek combines approachability with serious winemaking talent, making it one of the most well-rounded wineries in Scottsdale to visit.
4. Aridus Wine Company

- Hours:
- Sunday – Wednesday: 12 PM – 6 PM
- Thursday – Saturday: 12 PM – 8 PM
- Food Available: No
- Reservations: Not required
- Average Tasting Price: $16-20 per flight
- Good to Know: Award-winning Syrah; sustainable tasting room design using reclaimed materials
The name Aridus comes from the Latin word for “dry,” a fitting nod to Arizona’s desert climate and the resilient grapes grown here.
Based in Willcox, Aridus Wine Company, is one of Arizona’s largest wine producers, known for its bold reds and commitment to sustainability. Their Old Town Scottsdale tasting room brings that same energy to the city, combining reclaimed lumber, steel, and stone to create a modern, rustic space that feels effortlessly cool.
A tasting flight of 5 wines for $16 will get you a good cross-section of their wine. We opted to go big and sampled ten red wines, and every single one impressed us.
Their 2016 Syrah was named Best Syrah by Wine & Spirits in 2019, but we also loved the Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Franc (some of my favorite varietals) – rich, full-bodied, and packed with character.
If you love powerful, flavor-forward wines, this is the spot for you. It’s easily one of our favorite wineries in Scottsdale and a must-stop for red wine fans.
If we are being honest, this is our favorite winery on this list. We found the wine to have more “ump” behind them, with rich and deep flavors. We love big and bold so this spot was a must for us. Even if you prefer softer wines, both our parents found something to enjoy as well.
5. Arizona Stronghold Vineyards

- Sunday & Wednesday – Thursday: 1 PM – 7 PM
- Friday – Saturday: 12 PM – 8 PM

- Average Tasting Price: $10+ for flights
- Good to Know: One of Arizona’s largest wineries, known for approachable, terroir-driven wines
Founded in the late 2000s, Arizona Stronghold Vineyards has become one of the biggest names in Arizona wine. (Fun fact: Maynard James Keenan was part of the original team before branching off in 2014.)
Their Scottsdale tasting room opened in 2022, making it one of the newest additions to the Scottsdale Wine Trail. Despite their size, the vibe here is anything but pretentious – it’s warm, approachable, and down-to-earth.
The wines at AZ Stronghold express the unique Arizona terrain and the winemakers do their best to let that shine through in the wines.
Most of their grapes come from their vineyard down in the Willcox area and are then produced at their winery in Camp Verde.
The wines express the unique Arizona terrain, with most grapes grown in Willcox and produced at their winery in Camp Verde. You can choose from four different tasting flights (white, combo, or two red options), starting at $10. Pour sizes are generous, and the staff is enthusiastic about helping you find your next favorite bottle.
They also serve wines by the glass and bottle, but we highly recommend trying a flight so you can explore their range. Some of our top picks were the Dala Cabernet Sauvignon (a steal at around $20 a bottle), the Nachise (a GSM blend with depth and spice), and the Lozen, a silky Bordeaux-style blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec.
Grab a seat on their outdoor patio, pair a few skewers or small plates with your flight, and enjoy the relaxed Scottsdale sunshine.
6. Los Milics Vineyards

- Hours:
- Tuesday – Thursday: 2 PM – 8 PM
- Friday – Saturday: 12 PM – 9 PM
- Sunday: 12 PM – 8 PM
- Monday: Closed
- Food Available: Yes, small plates
- Reservations: Recommended for weekends
- Average Tasting Price: Around $20 per flight
- Good to Know: Elgin tasting room ranked #2 in the U.S. by USA TODAY
As one of the newest tasting rooms in Old Town Scottsdale, Los Milics Vineyards is quickly earning a reputation for excellence – and for good reason. Their main Elgin winery was recently named the #2 tasting room in the U.S. by USA TODAY, and the Scottsdale location brings that same energy north for visitors looking to experience Arizona wine without the drive.
Inside, the atmosphere is warm and intimate, with a curated menu of award-winning wines available by the flight, glass, or bottle. With 14 wines crafted from 17 grape varieties, the lineup showcases the bold diversity of southern Arizona’s terroir.
We can’t wait to spend more time in their new tasting room, but even from our first visit, Los Milics impressed us with their attention to detail and dedication to elevating Arizona’s wine scene. If you’re planning a wine tasting day in Scottsdale, this is a must-add stop.
